EUHR Solana welcomes IAEA resolution on Iran's nuclear programme

Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the CFSP, welcomes the IAEA Board resolution on Iran's nuclear programme

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, welcomed the adoption by the International Atomic Energy Agency Board on 24 September of a resolution on Iran's nuclear activities:

"I welcome today's adoption by the IAEA Board of the resolution on the implementation of the non−proliferation safeguards agreement in Iran.

I am pleased that the resolution received broad support from the members of the IAEA Board.

I welcome the fact that the resolution leaves the door open to a settlement of the Iran nuclear issue through further negotiations."
