
Summary: June 5, 2003: Presidency Statement of the European Union on the murder of Serbian civilians in Kosovo (Brussels)
Following the assassination of three members of the Serbian community in Kosovo, the Presidency issued the following statement on 5/6/03: "The Presidency of the European Union unequivocally condemns the brutal murder of three unarmed civilians of the Serbian community long time residents of the Obilic village, in Kosovo. this murder threatens the very foundations of the international community's efforts to build a multiethnic Kosovo, in conformity with UNSC resolution 1244, based on the
principles of justice, tolerance, and respect for fundamental human and minority rights".
