"I congratulated Abu Mazen as well as Yasser Arafat on the confirmation today by the Palestinian Legislative Council of the new Palestinian Authority Cabinet.
I conveyed to the new Prime Minister the assurance that his government will benefit from my personal support and that of the European Union. We are ready to collaborate fully to move forward the Palestinian Authority's reform process and the peace process with the immediate publication and implementation of the road map.
It is time for Israel and the Palestinian Authority to resume a constructive dialogue, in the interest of the two peoples who aspire fundamentally to real peace and guaranteed security."
